Wraping Up Core Studio 6 ------- Final Write Up

        My initial thesis idea at the beginning of semester is to create a series of short animations that achieves special effects often seen on TV commercials and movies today. The realistic special effects can vary from car crash to meteor shower. Then through out the semester the thesis idea is shifting from creating a series of different short animations into focusing on one scene. The new thesis idea is still study the about achieves specials effects often seen on TV commercials and movie but it’s concentrating on one special effects.
        In this animation short I will be creating a car accident that happen to be capture by 2 students while they are filming their school project. The idea behind this thesis is twist the viewer’s typical thinking toward to special effects. Today, viewers always been treated by Hollywood effects where they always using the special effects as an excitement to the movie. But in this animation shorts it will be stripe down the special effects from Hollywood glamorous to the idea of realistic. The target is using this animation as a trigger of creating an emotional factor to the viewer. Viewers will be face toward to their realistic emotional feeling instead of been excited.
        This idea was change during semester while one of the classmates, Kimba, who gave me a very good point to turn this thesis around. During the midterm presentation as a critic, she told me instead of typical Hollywood glamorous special effects do something that is more realistic, something that ordinary people can relate more. Initially I wasn’t quite clear of what I am doing with my thesis idea. But the point she point out is making all these much more clear.
        Overall I think this semester went quite well of developing my thesis idea. There are a lot of up and down of coming up the ideas though. From the midterm presentation to the final presentation, there are a lot of different changes. I am really glad that I got a lot of feedback from the midterm presentation. Even though midterm presentation didn’t went quite well as I expected. But because of the great feedback, I was able to change the direction around and reshaping my thesis idea through out the rest of the semester. As moving on to the future, I am definitely going to stick with this idea and work it out. There still is a lot of little detail that need to be defining. Hopefully everything will be able to turn out to be exactly what I vision in my head.
