Officially not in the back to school mode
so yea, i am actually pretty bad on the keep in track with the schedule. So far i am behind like 3 days. Hope i can come back and finish all these......hopefully.....hopefully

Officially Back to School Mode......
Only one more week before school start. Here are the list that need to be accomplish before school start...... I will come back and check off things at the end of each day. If i didn't get to finish the assignment it will be push to next day. Hopefully i won't need to push it. As well i will be posting progress everyday for this week. So its gonna be a long week.....wish me luck :D
08/28 Tuesday
1. Independent Study Proposal [CHECK 08/29]
2. Email Anezka regarding about the proposal and meeting of signing the independent study contract [CHECK 08/29]
3. Back to thesis, rough sketch of the product. At least have 5 different design.[CHECK 08/28]
4. If have extra time, work on the beginning sequence of the demo reels. [Nope, no time 08/28]
08/29 Wednesday
1. Continuing with sketching out the product (2 to 3 different sketches) [CHECK 08/30]
2. Making rough product model in Maya 3D (Make at least 3 different model in 3D) [Half Check,got one done so far, going to build more 09/02]
3. Starting a storyboard of the story for the product [going to start working on it 09/02]
4. If having extra time, work on the demo reels [donno if i have time, working on it]
08/30 Thursday
1. Concept and think of some of ideas of the product (have at least 3 different point of the products but more will be great!!!) [CHECK 09/02]
2. Continuing with storyboard for the product (try to come up 2 or 3 different types of story to sell those selling point) [still not having time to work on it 09/02]
3. Narrow down with the rough model and make it detail. [got a rough one right now, going to wait until the critic ]
4. If having extra time, work on the demo reels. [donno if i have time, working on it]
08/31 Friday
1. Stating out the point of the products for now. [donno if i have time, working on it]
2. Elevator pitch of the whole thesis. [donno if i have time, working on it]

Adding on to the Mechanical Pencil
So i been thinking about this idea of mechanical pencil and been stuck for a bit of time.......and i am still thinking right now at this point. Some of the ideas like advertising it like a car commercial with some shinny sleek highlight on the pencil or the use of the pencil showing on the commercial......i am soooo lost right now :(

Brand New Idea!!!!!!! Mechanical Pencil
So here is some new brand new idea, Well i been talking about creating commercial for some product.....but what product?......last night after struggle and thinking of different with my girlfriend "Ayumi", She suggested me with mechanical pencil. I am still in the stage of storyboarding.....So still need some more works.
Here are some main point to make a good mechanical pencil
-nice grip
-light weight
-easy to write
-sleek and sexy
-nice balance
-very manly----target audience

3D Animation/MotionGraphic Company in NYC part 2
here is some more list that i found out myself, some of them are really great company
The Mill- Motion Graphic/CGI Animation, The Mill is a Visual Effects company that is originally from London. They created a lot of different type of effects such as music video, TV commercial, and etc.
Galaxy 61- CG Animation, this a company that i got in touch with while i was TA for a precollege course. Galaxy 61 pretty much work on different type of 3D animation. It's still a little company, however its growing bigger and bigger.

Brand New Ideas about Thesis
Haven't upload for a while :D .....anyhow just recently having a totally different point of view toward to the thesis. I been thinking about creating an advertising commercial that is design to sell this particular products. I been thinking about either using someone's design product and create an advertisement or creating my own product and create an advertisement. As far for now the idea is leaning toward to creating my own product and advertise it.
And here is the To-Do List in order for this Thesis to work out
1. A product (a product that is not as often to be seen on TV commercial, as well it need to be special and different. On top of it need at least 3 selling point for this product, as well user-testing)
2. Rough Sketch, prototype of the Model
3. Finalize the Model
4. Storyboard of the Products
5. Animating, and Compositing the commercial
6. Finalize the Products and Commercial
Here is some of reference images that i got from my brother's company. All the designs are either created already or in the progress of making. But just some of rough idea of how it will turn out. (Click the images to enlarge in the new window)
