Through out these years, 3D animation has been polish into a tool for creating realistic effects and change the way we view movie today. It makes impossible angle shots becomes possible. It accomplishes the stunt that was too dangerous to perform. Today, nearly out of 10 commercials on the TV there are 7 of them are 3D animation related.
My thesis is about creating a series of short animations that achieve special effects which often seen in present day TV commercials and movies. The realistic special effects can vary from car crash to meteor shower. The target audiences for this project will be male around 18 to 27. Their personality mostly enjoy of gaining excitement and having trill from anything they view. They love to get away from their dry and typical life style. Most of these short animation effects will be done by Autodesk Maya 8. The whole process will be starting off by modeling, texturing, rigging, animating, and finally lighting. Modeling part will be furnishing in another 3D animation ZBrush. Some of these animations will be composting to real life footage to add another layer of realistic feeling for the animation. My goal for this project is to create realistic animation that is either too difficult to film or seemingly impossible to produce through a regular camera angle in real life.
