Common for the Intro
Should have the idea of “Making of” for this movie to show how to make this movie works is nice and interesting. This movie will be showing off how it is done.
Car Crash Idea
-It will be great of seeing in the driver’s view when the car about to move toward to another lane, and in the instant minutes you see the truck come toward you and hit you.
-In the mid-way should have a free second which will have the 360 degree surround pam shot.
-suggestion,
-Looking into more about car crash, particularly about camera angle.
-How about take a shot from a movie, and modify the shot into animation or even make it better and intense.
-To make a very realistic model and animation might be a big challenge.
Meteor Idea
-Why didn’t you start from backward just like typical movie, however it is fine since it might not concentrate on the meteor.
-Might not showing any impact while the meteor is going in and camera coming out. Might be an interesting shot since most movies don’t really do it that way.
-Overall the shot should be continue zooming out until a meteor passed by fast, then the camera starting to slowly stop. Right about the meteor about to hit the place the scene is cut to the shot of witness the impact. After the impact, the scene is cut to the zoom out scene
-suggestion,
-maybe the explosion is link one after another from car crash to this meteor idea
-wireframe part on the ripple effects will be very interesting.
Building Collapse
-See the normal day life, then 1 sec after the building start shaking will be great for the scene.
Overall
-Connecting the whole scene from car and zooming up and zooming out and then seeing the meteor coming down, as meteor going toward to the earth right in the second before it hit it. It is cut to the shot to witness the impact and ripple effects. Then cut the scene out to the space shot of the earth then instantly it is rotated to the other side of the earth then zooming in to one of the building just happen to be the normal scene and within a second it is starting receiving the ripple effects which eventually make the building to fall down.
-Is this a do-able thesis? It is tricky, if you can have a whole crew of people who know Maya well. However, at the end it is study in detail of different action movie, especially study different part of the camera angle. In a while you will notice what is a good and what is a bad camera angle.
-Camera angle is very important particularly for the action movie
